How has the new lockdown impact the property market in Essex?

In late October we received confirmation England would head into a second lockdown from Thursday, November 5 until at least December 2. We’ve had two weeks of it so far, and while there is a sense that it feels different and less restrictive than the first one in March, we are still being asked the same main question as we were back then. And that is, ‘will this affect people in the process of moving or thinking about selling in our areas’ The local property market remains very busy despite the second lockdown. People can still buy and sell homes if the agencies involved follow the guidelines around social distancing and PPE. “At Temme English, we take the responsibility to keep people safe very seriously. All the while still ensuring our clients are being served to an exceptional standard.” Here are some of the things we can still do: We are still offering virtual tours and carry out video valuations. We are still conducting safety first viewings using ‘fresh’ PPE, hand sanitisers and social distancing. We are continuing to push hard to progress any sales that are currently going through and meet the Stamp Duty deadline of March 31, 2021. And we are keeping in regular contact with everyone we work with and informing them about what’s happening with their sale or purchase. Here when you need us We appreciate this is an anxious time for many of our clients, and that’s why we want you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Or if you need to get a better understanding of how the property market is still moving despite lockdown. Coming out of the first lockdown saw the home moving market across the areas we have offices in hit some record heights. Now that there is a lot of optimism around vaccines and life slowly getting back to normal, we expect the level of activity to remain strong into 2021. We’d like to take this opportunity to praise the community spirit we’ve seen across the region. It’s inspiring to see people coming together and helping each other while we all do our bit to battle this awful disease.” If you have a home moving question, contact us on 01268 207222 (Basildon) – 01206 578112 (Colchester)– 01621735005 (Maldon) or 01268 573035 for (Wickford).
